The Editorial - About Coastlight.Com
Since you made it this far, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Christian Meister (my friends just call me Chris though) and I live in
Aarau, a small, yet picturesque city on the banks of the river Aare in the north of
Switzerland with a population of about 16,000.

I fairly recently moved here from
Lenzburg, a town famous for its historic downtown and the impressive medieval castle overlooking the whole region.
I was born in fall, more precisely October of 1971 and grew up in Birrwil, a village just a few miles southeast of Aarau, on the western shore of Lake Hallwil. From here, on a clear day, you have a stunning view over the lakes and the majestic Swiss mountains in the backdrop. The foothills of the Alps are just 40 miles to the south, beyond the city of Lucerne.
For more than 15 years now, I work at
IBM in Zurich as an Advisory IT Specialist. As you may have noticed, traveling is my big passion and I love to explore new places, especially in my favorite parts of the world which are in North America, Australia and New Zealand.
I have chosen the name Coastlight.Com because of my fascination with lighthouses around the world. I had the opportunity to visit quite a few during my trips along the various ocean shores. But other than that, there is no further connection or deeper meaning for this domain name.
